Cancer survivors are often surprised to find that the journey to recovery includes unexpected challenges, like lingering hair loss. Our Boston office offers specialized care for women experiencing hair thinning or permanent shedding after chemotherapy, radiation, or hormonal therapies.
When and How to Start Treatment
The ideal time to begin treatment is as soon as your cancer therapy is completed and remission has been confirmed. Early intervention gives us the best chance to support regrowth, preserve remaining follicles, and improve hair density.
However, it’s not too late if time has passed. We’ve seen positive outcomes even in patients who finished treatment several years ago. We’ll perform a trichoscopy exam during your consultation to assess whether hair follicles are still active. If they are, there’s a good chance we can help stimulate meaningful improvement.
