Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) For Hair Loss

A Non-Surgical Treatment That Leads To More Follicular Activity And Healthier Hair Growth

Red and near-infrared laser light can encourage tissue repair and recovery. Through the use of low-intensity lights, Medi Tresse can perform a non-surgical procedure that addresses female hair loss by stimulating follicle growth and encouraging healthier hair growth.
Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) provides a safe, comfortable treatment option to restore thinning hair and address visible hair loss. We can safely use these lights to promote hair restoration for patients with Androgenic Alopecia (Female Pattern Hair Loss), Traction Alopecia, and Telogen Effluvium.

LLLT has been evaluated in a number of studies and found effective at treating hair loss in both men and women. The research has shown patients enjoyed thicker, healthier hair growth and more numerous hair shafts, while showing that treatment was safe and effective.

The lights used in LLLT are considered cold-beam lasers. These forms of light are not capable of burning skin, which makes prolonged use safe for patients. Laser therapy has been used in medical care for more than 50 years. Changes in technology made this light treatment effective for treating hair loss, and LLLT has been cleared by the FDA for fighting female hair loss.

Medi Tresse can provide the necessary tools for you to encourage hair growth with LLLT in the comfort of your own home! We offer the LaserCap HD (224 Diodes) and the LaserCap HD+ (300 Diodes), both from LaserCap® for sale at our locations. This technology lets you take your efforts to restore your hair home with you, where you can safely encourage cellular activity that gives you back your full head of hair!

Single booster treatments are recommended every 6 to 12 months to maintain optimal results.

Low-Level Laser Therapy FAQ

Is It Really Safe To Use Lasers On My Scalp For Hair Growth?

Low-intensity lasers were a part of numerous medical treatments before LLLT became a treatment option for male and female hair loss. Because these are what we know as cold-beam lasers, they can be used without creating a risk for burning your skin.

How Does Low-Level Laser Therapy Help Me Recover After Losing Hair?

The low-level laser lights used for treatment stimulate hair follicle cells. The response from prolonged exposure to these lights can lead to the production of more hair shafts, and treatment can reduce inflammation and produce healthier hair growth.

Has LLLT Been Researched?

Studies of the effectiveness and safety of LLLT have shown that treatment can lead to both the growth of thicker, healthier hair as well as more hair shafts. These studies also show no significant negative side effects from treatment.

Can I Really Take Home A Device That Lets Me Engage In LLLT At Home?

Medi Tresse offers multiple products that patients can use in the comfort of their own home. You can talk to us about purchasing the LaserCap HD (224 Diodes), the LaserCap HD+ (300 Diodes), or the HairMax® LaserBand 82.
